Okay, so most of you Hip Daddy readers know that here at Hip Daddy HQ, it’s a Nike kind of world.  We love the swoosh, especially when it comes to their apparel, the best #handsdown.  But we will give props at times to other companies who deserve their props.  Sure, we will never wear Lululemon (just can’t do it) but understand their men’s line is getting better and better.  And we’ve covered plenty other younger companies that are starting to turn our heads, and here we are again, talking about an Austin based brand that continues to impress…

Outdoor Voices.  Yes, we dig it.  And yes, we know it is still more known as a women’s brand, but we know ‘special’ when we see it…so we got you covered.  The name alone has some serious swagger and intrigue, but the product came to play too.  According to them, they “make clothes for sweating in — interchangeable layers that play nice in any season or activity.  From dog jogs to dodgeball, we’re after a wardrobe that spans gym-life and life-life without sweating the small stuff”…basically technical apparel for recreation (of any kind.)  The Cloudknit Sweatpant might just dominate any weekend bbq, while their Forward Jacket is perfect for work or play, and finally, the Sunday Shorts is…well…for Sundays (c-o-m-f-y.)

Outdoor Voices might just be a voice to be reckoned with.  Watch out Beaverton, Austin is bringing some heat 🙂
