Every Feast Needs This Jug.

It’s Thanksgiving week here at Hip Daddy, which means we got you covered for this amazing start to the Holiday season. And yes, every Hip Daddy loves some great Turkey, stuffing, and some sour cream mashed potatoes (epic mom’s recipe). But let’s talk about some things outside of the obvious…

Farmhouse Pottery, based in Vermont, is the perfect Thanksgiving Must-Have.  And if you saw our Ursa Major post, you may understand that the Green Mountain state has a lot going on when it comes to some very intriguing and cool companies/brands…and Hip Daddy likes discovering new things.  The company was started by New England native Zoe Zilian who wanted to create a place with a modern farm aesthetic that represented farm-to-table values infused in traditionally crafted designs.  Determined to sustain the next generation of local makers and farmers, she was compelled to bring authentic gifts with a deeper meaning and useful purpose to market, Farmhouse’s mission is simply “to make and purvey farmed and crafted gifts with authenticity and character. We value simple, honest, useful designs made from quality natural materials. Our work is our commitment to sustaining the farmer and the maker, the ones who are driven to explore and challenge themselves.”  Well written, love this.  We are all ‘makers’ in some form.  Okay, on to the actual product…

The barrel jug is simple awesome.  Not only is it rooted in traditional American pottery styling, it is big, bold and beautiful….and yes, will look perfect as a centerpiece on any Thanksgiving table.  A nice arrangement of flowers might be its’ perfect match, but how about filling it with some gravy, or apple cider?  Whatever suits your Hip Daddy Holiday liking.

Farmhouse Pottery is great for all Hip Daddy Households, and if you haven’t been to Woodstock, Vermont…here is your reason to visit.  Or simply visit West Elm which carries this beauty too.  Gobble Gobble.
