Hip Daddy Travel is usually spot on, we pretty much got you covered no matter what you are looking for.  Hotels.  In general, it’s difficult to find a happy medium between a boutique type property and a larger luxury style lodging- there is little in between.  But we think we found one…so let’s talk Miami, and more specifically South Beach.

Tons of hotels in the MIA.  Some terrible and cheesy, some hot for a second then gone, others massive with no service, some stunning but pricey, loud pool parties, too boutiquey, restaurants in the lobby with a trendy chef but not much of a hotel, construction they don’t tell you about, beautiful pools and some stylish wading pools, the MIA can be a difficult landscape when it comes to finding just the right property.  For the sake of this post, we are talking about a hotel stay with or without the kids because why can’t you have both from a property? You can Hip Daddy.  You can.

1 Hotel South Beach has it all.  Pools…a rooftop for the adults with amazing views, delicious food (#bestedamameever) and stylish good vibes all around.  And yes, quite the scene if you need it.  The main pool is much larger, has a great overall layout for the kids, and yes, the kid’s menu is straight up perfect.  Even more pools on the property as well as your typical Miami South Beach beach, so they got the water aspect box checked.  Food and drink…from Nativ Made (green juice to die for) to Habitat to Plnthouse (plant based, and avocado toast that will leave you wanting more…and more), all is covered for whomever is eating and drinking.  And for the steak lovers, STK is 30 yards away.  Fitness…It’s got a Spartan gym (spacious and bew-tee-ful) with classes and also has a Soul Cycle right next door.   Location…15 minute walk from Lincoln Road, shops like KITH a block away, far enough from the Ocean Drive madness, and in a ‘quieter’ part of Collins Ave which is always a good thing.  Service…impeccable, attentive and hard working, #doneanddone.  The rooms…beautifully designed and plenty of space, comfy yet stylish, and somewhat suprising for a hotel of this caliber.  Shower situation (glass and little privacy) might pose problems pending who is in the room, but hey, it’s South Beach 🙂

This property is LARGE.  But in a good way.   This hotel group just gets it.  From their Midtown NYC to Brooklyn locations, every hotel is designed for it’s community and surroundings, nestled in quaint but impactful.
