Tudor Does It Again.

TUDOR, a member of the Rolex family, continues to impress, and recently debuted at Baselworld a blacked-out matt steel Black Bay, and it is soooo Hip Daddy Approved.  Featuring the same timeless characteristics of the regular version, this matt iteration boasts a 41mm case and black PVD treatment and has some nice inspiration behind it:

“It inherits the general lines, as well as the domed dial and crystal from the first TUDOR diving watches. It features the particularly prominent winding crown from the famous 7924 reference of 1958, aka the “Big Crown”, while its characteristic angular hands, known as “snowflake”, were borrowed from TUDOR watches used by the French National Navy in the 1970s. The indication of guaranteed water depth engraved in red on the dial and the red triangle on the rotatable bezel are also key design features inspired by history.”

Every Hip Daddy likes a little history.  And every Hip Daddy needs some ‘wrist candy’ once in awhile.  Well done TUDOR, keep pushing.
