The Hamptons.  Beautiful Summertime destination, #plainandsimple.  And as you know, we here at Hip Daddy HQ, like to keep all things travel related streamlined and simple.  So let’s go off to the Hamptons and talk eating, drinking, shopping and just plain relaxing.

EAT

Crow’s Nest in Montauk.  Beautiful views, excellent menu, amazing scenery, and yes, a fire pit.  Not to mention some really cool outdoor lighting that bring extra romance to every summer night.  Even better, lots of lawn area for the kids to play while you wait for the food, and speaking of eats…the fresh Ricotta is Hip Daddy De-licious and the Grass Fed rib-eye will feed 2-3 people…it’s gigantic and tasty beyond.  It’s the spot, check it out.

DRINK

Wolffer Estate Vineyard.  Easy Peasey…best to get a babysitter for this one.  Summer means Rose, and Wolffer has got it going on.  You could spend an entire summer afternoon here in the sun looking out at the beautiful vineyards, and enjoying some fine wine and sights overall.  Again, summertime means Rose is flowin so you need to know Wolffer… it’s kind of a Hamptons Must Do.  And of course, please don’t drink and drive.

SHOP

Blue and Cream in East Hampton is awesome for two reasons.  First, it has amazing Hip Daddy Approved product everywhere.  Although we fell in love with many items, we ended up with the limited Alternative Apparel camo sweat shorts…most comfy pair we own 🙂  Second, the owner, Jeff Goldstein, is indeed a Hip Daddy and look out for his Spotlight coming soon!  But seriously, this store has it all, perfectly curated…oh, and did we mention the kid’s selection?  Boom.  Dress ’em right, Blue and Cream has you covered.

SWEAT

Okay, this might feel a bit obvious, but you kinda have to do a SoulCycle East Hampton class…just because.  So do one.  But be warned, the classes book up quick (obviously) so get on your game and get your sweat started.  And as you know, SoulCycle is indeed a Hip Daddy Approved Workout.

PLAY

Plenty of options but let’s focus…Hop a ferry and head to Sunset Beach on Shelter Island OR…bring the family to Main Beach in East Hampton for some quality beach time, Hamptons style.  Surf Lodge and Gurneys are always enticing options as well but that scene can get played out quick 🙂

There you have it.  Simple, smart and hopefully useful to all you summertime Hip Daddy travelers.  The Hamptons is a quintessential East Coast summer staple and you need to go.  And enjoy now because before you know, back to school is here!
