Talk to us about your kids.  What’s it like being a Dad?

I have one daughter Olivia who is 8.  I always wanted to be a Dad and it’s beyond my expectations.  Words can’t describe the feeling I have when I think about how close Olivia and I are, and how much love I have for her.  It’s also really good fun being a Dad…I’m a big kid myself at times so we always have fun.

Tell us about your parenting style.

I really make an effort to include Olivia in my life.  I’m divorced so I think it’s extra important for me to make an effort to see her at least once a week and do something good together.  We spend a lot of long weekends together, most school holidays together and I’ve even taken her on business trips if its somewhere fun or interesting.  I think it’s important to be fun, trusting, loving, caring and constantly teaching your kids new things.  It’s important not to ‘culture down’ for your kids, I try to do things that I enjoy as an adult and include my daughter.

What’s the one thing as a Dad you cannot live without?

FaceTime.

Your agency has worked with some amazing fashion and lifestyle brands.  What’s the latest and greatest at King & Partners?

Thank you.  We’re trying to always put out great work for the brands we work with, we have some incredible brands that really trust us so it’s our responsibility to deliver very well thought out work that goes beyond their expectations.  We have a lot of new projects in the works for the worlds of hospitality and real estate, I think that reflects the consumers move from material goods to experiences.

Hip Daddy loves some good style.  Talk to us about your own personal style and favorite fashion pieces.

I’m quite low key and tend to dress in a similar way every day.  I have a huge collection of Common Projects shoes, so I’m normally in those.  I’ve recently got a few pairs of the APC Butler jeans which are worn in a very natural perfect way.  My latest obsession are Tomas Maier Oxford shirts they fit me well.  Aside form that I’m normally in a blue sweater!  I have very simple navy sweatshirt from Margiella that I wear constantly.  As I get older my tastes are getting simpler and simpler.

You are a NYC Hip Daddy.  What’s your favorite thing to do with the kids on the weekend?

Depends on the time of year.  We’ve gone indoor gokarting a few times lately, which is a blast. When it’s warmer I like to go for bike rides in the woods around Pound Ridge Reservation too, as well as kayaking, and outdoors things like sailing and fishing.  Sometimes it’s nice to just go to a movie and share some popcorn.
