In keeping with our Halloween inspired week on Hip Daddy, we had to shine the light on some cool footwear that every Hip Daddy should check out.  And our friends from Southern California, Vans, have delivered once again.

Vans is the quintessential ‘skate’ shoe.  And when we say ‘skate’, we are talking about the exciting and adventurous sport of skateboarding.  Now before you get all nervous and think you need to actually be a ‘skater’ to wear these, you don’t.  Vans has transformed into a massive lifestyle brand that makes product for all walks of life…Hip Daddys included most def.  So now…let’s talk about the shoe…

The Van Doren Era Collection is inspired by reissued prints and patterns from the Vans archives.  The Van Doren Era is a “classic low top lace-up skate shoe that has a durable double-stitched, all-over printed canvas upper, metal eyelets, padded tongue and lining and Vans signature Waffle Outsole.”  In a nutshell, all this product jargon means it is a pretty ‘dope’ shoe.  We especially love the Repeat Skull edition.  It is somewhat badass and will work with any Hip Daddy Weekend outfit.   And of course, it comes in sizes for your little ones which means playground domination is likely in these.   And more relevant to this particular week, it is the perfect Halloween themed shoe that will look good with any costume or simply Trick or Treating with the kids.
